MEDIAN Flex - Our locums pool

At MEDIAN, we attach great importance to a good induction programme. New employees undergo several weeks of induction training at their first location and are assigned an experienced colleague at each new location to help them get started. The scope of the individual induction programme also depends on the experience and level of knowledge of the new employee.

We offer a wide range of training opportunities to promote the professional and personal development of our employees. This includes internal training courses as well as external training programmes. A training agreement is concluded depending on the type and scope of the training. MEDIAN supports various training programmes as long as they are applicable and feasible within the scope of the employee's work.

You can choose between 8 and 10-hour shifts as part of your clinical assignments. We endeavour to take into account the individual needs and family commitments of our employees. In consultation with the team and management, working hours can be adapted to enable an optimum balance between work and private life. We strive to reconcile the needs of employees and the clinic on a daily basis. It is not possible to completely prescribe duty rosters, but we are happy to take your wishes into account in many cases.

Once the location has been determined, you will receive information about the responsible contact person at the clinic where you will be deployed. You will discuss assignment requests and duty planning directly with the contact person at the clinic.

The regulations of the Working Hours Act apply in all deployment clinics. In addition, regional agreements are concluded with the works councils, which are binding for our pool employees. Sometimes the conditions differ between the various locations. The nursing team leader can provide information on this in advance or name suitable contacts in the deployment clinics.

The assignments at various MEDIAN locations currently take place quarterly for at least 3 months at one location. This means that you will not have any permanent changes and will be well integrated into the teams. We also try to take your personal preferences into account. After consultation and if required, the assignments in a clinic can also be extended or shorter assignments can be planned if desired.

MEDIAN will provide you with accommodation during your assignments if you are deployed to a location away from home. We take care of all organisational aspects so that you can concentrate on your work.

Accommodation varies regionally depending on the offer and availability. Some of the clinics offer rented flats as part of a shared flat. Here, each employee has their own room with a shared kitchen and bathroom. Other clinics offer accommodation in former ward areas on the clinic grounds. These have been converted to accommodate staff and are now used as accommodation. Here, each employee is given a single room with a bathroom and there is a kitchen and communal rooms for use.

In early neurological rehabilitation, we work in an interdisciplinary team of nursing staff, doctors, therapists and social workers. Each team member contributes their expertise to ensure holistic care and rehabilitation of patients.

Your tasks in the field of ventilation and weaning include monitoring and controlling ventilation parameters, maintaining and cleaning the ventilators and continuously observing the patient's state of health. You will support patients in the gradual weaning from ventilation and work closely with the attending physicians to optimise the weaning process.

You can be provided with a company car via the 1% rule, which you can also use privately. In addition, you will receive a fuel card to cover the cost of refuelling. If no company car is available at the start, we can offer you a hire car from AVIS on a temporary basis. This will also be taxed according to the 1% rule. In this case, you will provide a receipt for the refuelling costs and will then be reimbursed as an expense.

Yes, you are welcome to do so. In this case, you will receive a flat-rate payment of €0.30 per kilometre driven.

If you do not have a driving licence or do not wish to drive a car, we offer the option of paying for a BahnCard 50. In addition, the cost of travel will be reimbursed on presentation of the tickets.

Leave can be arranged flexibly and there are no leave blocks. The prerequisite is that the leave is planned and applied for before the rota has been agreed. As soon as a rota has been agreed, leave can only be granted at short notice if the clinic of assignment agrees and the duties can be covered elsewhere.

The working time account is managed via the Atoss time management system. The target and actual working hours are displayed here and applications for leave are submitted.
