• Management assistant in healthcare

As a healthcare management assistant, you will be part of a dynamic professional field that combines business and healthcare. • Office management assistant

Training as an office management assistant teaches comprehensive commercial and organisational skills that are required for efficient office work in various companies and organisations.
 

As an office management assistant, you will be the contact person for internal and external communication. You will be responsible for receiving visitors, answering calls and coordinating correspondence. You will also provide support with bookkeeping, personnel administration and the organisation of events.
 

If you enjoy working in an office, carrying out administrative tasks and are communicative, training as an office management assistant is an ideal choice. It opens the door to an exciting career with a wide range of development opportunities.

During the dual study programme, you will regularly alternate between theoretical phases at a university or university of cooperative education and practical phases at one of our clinics or the company headquarters. This combination enables you to put what you have learnt directly into practice and gain valuable professional experience. You will be actively involved in projects, work together with experienced specialists and gain an insight into real work processes. You will build up a strong network during your studies and can use this for future career opportunities.

The Voluntary Social Year and the Federal Voluntary Service are voluntary services in which you have the opportunity to provide support in social areas such as hospitals, care facilities, schools and daycare centres. You will gain valuable experience and an exciting insight into a wide range of professional fields. You will also learn to better assess your own interests and skills and to use them for the common good.
 

• Voluntary Social Year

The Voluntary Social Year is a state-recognised voluntary service in social institutions. Anyone who has completed compulsory full-time schooling and has not yet reached the age of 27 can do a Voluntary Social Year. The Voluntary Social Year lasts a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 18 months (in exceptional cases even 24 months). This voluntary service can only be completed once, but can also be completed abroad.
 

• Federal Volunteer Service

The Federal Volunteer Service is also a voluntary social service programme. Unlike the Voluntary Social Year, there is no maximum age limit. This means that anyone who has completed compulsory full-time schooling can get involved. With the abolition of military service in 2011, the Federal Volunteer Service was introduced to replace the former civilian service. Similar to the Voluntary Social Year, those completing this programme also gain practical experience and knowledge as well as their first insights into the world of work. The Federal Volunteer Service can be repeated every five years. The duration is flexible, but the service should usually last one year.

Through our trainee programme, we offer you a deep insight into the structure of our numerous and diverse facilities and clinics throughout Germany. The aim of the MEDIAN trainee programme is to systematically prepare senior hospital managers.

These qualities form a good basis for deepening your specialist and non-specialist skills while you familiarise yourself with the tasks and organisational processes in the "clinic business".
 

It is important to us that you as a trainee gain a comprehensive impression of everyday life at the rehabilitation clinic right from the start. You will acquire specialised knowledge by working in various commercial areas. In the clinic business, you will familiarise yourself with general administrative tasks and gain an insight into the requirements of independently managing and developing a site. You will work independently on projects and take on responsibility in a team. In workshops and seminars, you can further develop your knowledge and skills for your day-to-day work. During the trainee period, you will always have a mentor at your side.
 

What you need to bring!

The prerequisite for admission to the trainee programme is a degree with a focus on business administration or economics, healthcare, law or human medicine.
 

The trainee period is 24 months. You will work within the Group at at least two different clinic locations in Germany and at the company headquarters in Berlin. Accordingly, mobility and a willingness to travel are important prerequisites.
